When an amputee has fingers amputated beyond the length for individual prosthetic fingers to be attached, a partial hand is made to prosthetically restore the missing fingers.
However, our clients’ intact fingers are not covered with the prosthesis, maintaining full movement.
As seen in this example, each partial hand poses the challenge of requiring custom engineering to fit the residual limb and allow movement by the unaffected fingers.
